We are a group of 187 people called Polignostix, who one day all over sudden appeared in your dimension. We do not yet know how we ended up there. And because of that we also do not know how to get back to where we came from. We spend our time exploring your world and we invite you to explore ours and our music.
Currently, the art and music by Polignostix, is represented by:
Filtertyp – He is responsible for a lot of sounds except drums. As his nickname implies, he is also much into filters and eq’ing. He also mixes the music.
Zalia – She mostly reads about humans and talks about sociopolitical topics and is probably a bit annoying at times. She probably often dreams of a revolution “against the current structure of power” (Zalia) when she sleeps but realizes that she is to tiny when she wakes up (that is why she knows that it is important to be organized with others). Music production wise, she is more like a counselor but also does concrete things like programming and designing sounds, mostly voice based.
Travelstar – This is the pet of Zalia. It understands what the people say and it likes the whole group (and would fight for them). Zalia named it Travelstar because she likes the name itself and because it is a title of a track by Makoto that she really likes a lot.
Knoobi – Dancing gnome, no matter how undanceable the music is. He always tries to convince the others to make the music more danceable and often argues with Filtertyp about that. His favorite track is of course ‘1000 parties later’. Knoobi occasionally programs musical phrases, mostly groovy stuff
Braincell – Often mixes the music and likes to test the results not just in the studio but also while driving around in his car with open windows.
Tinytec – The main drum machine programmer of group. She really loves drum machines and her trustworthy snare which she took right out of the book The Tin Drum by Günter Grass. It is still unclear how she did manage to do that tho. 0.0 Besides drums she likes to program the exact opposite: pad sounds.
Colorsync – He is the the VJ, the video maker and the mastering engineer. He is basically not involved into any audio processes before the mastering stage. He is also responsible for the computer hardware. He often argues with Zalia about various things.
